ABOUT
SERGI ROJAS
is a composer and sound designer from Barcelona. From a very young age, he’s had a deep love for film, video games and music, along with a strong passion for storytelling through art and sound.
He began his musical studies at the age of 11 at the School of Arts in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, where he received his first lessons in music composition and electric bass from professionals such as Laureà Vicedo, Rai Ferrer, and Fèlix Serra. Thanks to his creativity and musical knowledge, they encouraged him to transfer to the Liceu Higher Conservatory of Music in Barcelona to further his studies.
During his time at the Liceu Higher Conservatory of Music, he received a wide range of lessons, including music composition, jazz, and modern music. Some of his tutors were Michael League (Snarky Puppy), Pedro Campos (Nathy Peluso), Ignasi Zamora, Giulia Valle, Juan Pablo Balcázar, Kena Toledo ‘La Machi’, and Francesc Gener.
After completing his higher studies, he decided it was time to step into film and video game scoring. He therefore transferred to the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), where he studied film scoring under the guidance of renowned professionals such as Arnau Bataller, Vanessa Garde, Óscar Araujo, Albert Guinovart, Norman Ludwin, Ferran Conangla, and Lluís Vergés, among many other distinguished figures in the industry. He now holds a master’s degree in film scoring and music for audiovisual media.
